Steve Lapin has created a body of work using clay as his primary material, and casting in fiberglass for outdoor sculpture. Although his ceramics are classical in nature, his sculpture is more influenced by contemporary Pop and conceptual art. His sculpture always has a narrative element, and addresses the political and social issues of today, while also drawing the viewing in through color, form, humor and craftsmanship.
